Популярный и высоко прибыльный парк аттракционов компании "Уолт Дисней" [Walt Disney Company] в г. Анахайме, шт. Калифорния. Открылся в 1955, став воплощением идеи У. Диснея [Disney, Walt (Walter Elias)] о парке, в котором был бы воссоздан мир мультфильмов и сказок, где интересно всем - и взрослым, и детям. Увлекательные аттракционы с участием диснеевских героев, рестораны, дискотеки и множество других развлечений принесли парку всемирную известность. Посещение парка начинается с "Главной улицы США" [Main Street, U.S.A.], которая по замыслу создателей должна каждому посетителю напомнить его детство. Здесь можно прокатиться по знаменитой Диснеевской железной дороге [Disneyland Railroad], на конке, в "безлошадной" повозке, зайти в старинный синематограф. "Главная улица" выводит посетителей на площадь, откуда лучами расходятся улочки с тематическими аттракционами. Одна из них - "Страна приключений" [Adventureland] с речным круизом в джунглях [Jungle River Cruise], с "охотой" на крупных животных [Big Game Shooting Gallery] и знаменитым домиком на дереве, построенным семьей швейцарских поселенцев [Swiss Family Treehouse]; потом на пути окажется "Площадь Нового Орлеана" [New Orleans Square], на которой можно зайти в "Дом с привидениями" [Haunted Mansion] и повстречаться с пиратами Карибского моря [Pirates of the Carribean]; затем попадаешь в "Медвежью страну" [Bear Country]; потом в "Страну Фронтира" [Frontierland] с островом Тома Сойера [Tom Sawyer Island], вокруг которого плавает знаменитый колесный пароход Марка Твена [Mark Twain Steamboat]. Дальше посетители попадают в "Страну сказок" [Fantasyland] с "Замком Спящей красавицы" [Sleeping Beauty Castle] - одним из символов Диснейленда, с "Каруселью короля Артура"; здесь же можно встретиться с Алисой [Alice in Wonderland], Питером Пэном [Peter Pan Flight] и другими героями сказок; и, наконец, - "Страна будущего" [Tomorrowland] с "Космической одиссеей", с героями "Звездных войн" [Star Wars], полетом на Марс [Mission to Mars], плаванием на подводной лодке [Submarine Voyage], путешествием по монорельсовой дороге [Monorail System]. Аттракционы в парке периодически обновляются. В среднем в год "Диснейленд" посещают 13,3 млн. человек. Площадь парка - около 50 га.
